Toy Donations
***PLEASE READ BELOW BEFORE BRINGING IN TOY DONATATIONS***
How do I donate toys to FLTL?
If you'd like to make a toy, game, or puzzle donation, PLEASE EMAIL US FIRST at info@fingerlakestoylibrary.org with a description and, if possible, photos of the items you'd like to donate. Refer to the guidelines below to see what we will and will not accept. We can not guarantee that we will be able to accept your donation.
After we have evaluated your items, we will send you a tax-deductible receipt for your records.
What kinds of toys can I donate?
We typically accept donations of excellent condition used toys. We also welcome newly purchased toys, which would be best purchased at one of several local toy stores in order to support our local economy.
Currently Accepting: high-quality, environmentally-friendly, gender-neutral, educational, non-media based toys, board games, musical instruments, costumes, and especially toys that encourage open-ended, creative, and imaginative play.
Not Accepting: toys based on television or movie characters, battery-operated toys, stuffed animals, books. We also cannot accept older toys if they are painted.
Please be sure toys that you would like to donate contain all of their parts, are clean, and in good working condition before bringing them to the toy library.
If you are unsure about whether your toys are suitable for the toy library collection please contact us, we are more than happy to answer any questions!
